Consider a higher level forum entitled "Functional Safety" and make this a sub-forum. My company is not automotive, but has been involved in functional safety in industrial automation for years.

A good way to go IMO. In that vein, could we add Machinery IEC 62061, Power plants IEC 61513? There is an IEC 61508 Association that might be useful to reference. Also wondering how this could/should fit into product certification like UL, CE and UKCA, although I suspect there are forum sections for those already.
