Hello!
Can someone point me to a guidance or regulations on the use of loaners? My company sets up service centers in different countries around the world, and the use of loaners has been a long time practice. Whenever a device is received for service, a loaner is shipped out for use by the customer until their serviced device is returned. We do not have separate product codes (or SKUs) for these loaner devices. Say a new device has a product code of XYZ123, the serviced device has the same product code and the separate and different loaner device also has the same product code of XYZ123. There is a separate serial number and GTIN for each different new device and loaner device. I am just having trouble wrapping my head around it when it seems that a for human use device that may be used across multiple different customers is not marked in a way, or submitted for registration/licensing, prior to use.
Appreciate any thoughts or guidance!
