Requirements for First Time Accreditation for Calibration

Hello, my company is going for ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation for the first time and I was given an opportunity to lead from front. We've got the necessary master's and UUTs, the main quality manual is ready but what really concerns me is that each laboratory in my region faced different difficulties in getting the accreditation mainly in the supporting documents proof, formats & acknowledgement. So, my question is, what was the unique type of NCs or problem you've faced during the assessment, that sets apart.

Thank you for your time & support

The words "risk" and "risks" appear 31 times in the document. A lot of labs are not doing an adequate job of addressing risk assessments for all of these "shall identify" and "shall include" statements. Other common issues include failure to include all scope items in your proficiency testing program, failure to meet accrediting body specific requirements such as advertising policies, not covering all of the required inputs for management reviews, failure to have a compliant decision rule, not having complete uncertainty budgets, all the little things that you can miss. You need a careful review if the entire document, checking off each requirement and documenting where and how you comply.

Piece of cake.
Not.
