Hello there! :bigwave: Welcome to the forum! We appreciate that you dropped by.

I am a little unclear as to the specific question you are asking. Could you provide us a little more information?

i have problem that after receiving calibration certificate i can not using the calibrated reading and uncertaininty in my actual measurements devises
my queastion how can i benifte from these reading to specified error in measurements

So let me know if I understand you,

You have an instrument (I assume a standard) that you send to a competent lab for calibration. It is returned with a certificate of calibration that has as found as left values and a reported uncertainty on it.

You then use that standard to calibrate other instruments. You are wanting to see how to incorporate the information from the "standard" certificate into the Calibration of the other instruments.

Is that accurate? Or so you use this calibrated instrument in your process?

Hi o_mahmoud,
I do not see any problem for what you are requesting for.
If you have a calibrated device with calibrated report provided by an accredited lab ( with certificate and related error and accuracy) you can use it in production line as per its capability to measure what it has in its scope.:bigwave:

Hallo BradM,
I think the question is about how to modify or correct a measure with a calibrated caliper. For example, if it has an error of -0.015mm with an uncertainty of +/-0.006mm at 95% confidence, in a range of 0 to 150mm.
Should I add 0.015mm to every measure I do with that caliper?

Are you estimating uncertainty for every measure that you perform? If so, then yes, the error and uncertainty of the standard you are using is important.

Otherwise, there should be a sufficient ratio between the standard and the Unit Under Test, there the measured error of the standard is not significant.

Hello,
Look at the measurement result reports you give to the customer.
If you give it as 15.00, there is no problem.
If you are reporting 15,000, you must include uncertainty.

If there is something that is not understood or does not make sense, please reply.
