Hi Elsmar group,

We are implementing a eQMS and I have a question related: if we receive a calibration certificate from a supplier which is a document that we don't produce is it possible I consider this document as QMS document and upload it in our eQMS?

Cheers

CofAs CofCs and any other required inspection document for incoming material as well. They are quality records and are often required as part of ‘Dock to Stock” programs or because the receiving organization cannot perform the specific specialized testing confirming that the material or component complied with specifications. As Randy said it’s pretty standard for many many organizations and the electronic copy is way better than the paper filing cabinet system.

Is there a specific reason that you are questioning this?

Hi Bev D,
Thx for answering. Iam asking this because after we upload the certificate for example we will throw it away. We want to upload in our eQMS and through it away afterwards.

Before you throw them away, make sure do perform a legibility test. Or get a digital record from your calibration supplier and avoid the whole step
