Artificial inteligence, how?what?what for?

Dear Sirs,

I would like to start topic for... already open tool calles : artificial inteligence; From some time we have open AI on (chat.openai). This tool give us possibility to make a question and get answers for "questions". I would like to ask You - how about feelings for using AI in Your daily work ?

Maybe AI will teach people to search before posting.

Skynet in its infancy.

I have a colleague who feels it is necessary to share (daily) with me results of some LLM results on topics I consider "almost adjacent" to work. I have now trained that colleague to resubmit my follow-up requests to that particular AI for the lulz. So for me: the LLM is a distraction.

Some examples: One one topic I asked for the same response, but requested the response to be "more polite" and also "more antagonistic". The result (which is not surprising) is that the "more polite" was a hair away from passive-aggressive, while the "more antagonistic" would have fit it with stereotypical edgelord social media posts.

My colleague also appears to use this particular LLM for a source of "dad jokes", yet it is clear that the LLM actually can't always recognize a "dad joke". My apologies if this upsets anyone: In a peculiar display of "getting it backed into a corner" we couldn't get the LLM off of an "island of stability" to explain why FORTRAN was the most "woke" of all programming languages (or if there was a more "woke" programming language than FORTRAN).
