Now that we no longer have access to the PQ Systems User Community, is there are way to access our open conversations and questions in the PQ Systems User Community through this new forum?

Hi @JLemay

We moved over the Webinar links/recordings, but the other conversations were not migrated. New questions and discussions for GAGEpack can be posted here.

I hope I am not overlooking something here, but most scanners can save as pdf, or if you have it in a file you can print to your "pdf printer".

Of course one should always check that the pdf matches the original. I know in the military, I had to certify many copies of things as a "Certified True Copy". I don't know if the control of the pdf or certification of the pdf is an issue for you, but that can be handled up to and including a certification stamp or an electronic signature on the pdf.

Another option - if you have a jpeg or equivalent picture of the document, you can paste that into Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Word allows you to save as a PDF.

I am talking about a calibration record from the history tab for an audit. I can print it but I would rather just save the PDF that has been created so it can be emailed. From what I have noticed, there is no option to do this when you open the calibration record. Am I overlooking this?

I don't know what sort of software you are referring to as the "Calibration Record". But no matter - a foolproof way to do this is in Windows 10 with Office:

Get the record on your computer screen.

Take a screen shot, or use Snip and Sketch

Open Word. Start a new document

Paste the screen shot / snip and sketch picture into Word. The print using the PDF Printer.

Okay maybe I'm a little green with all this. I use GAGEpack to keep track of calibrated gages and maintain certificates for these gages. When I go in to the history selection it brings up a list of gages previously calibrated by date. I know you can snip anything or even take a screen shot but when an section 13 (NRC) auditor is breathing down your neck you don't want to start taking snippets and start editing a calibration record; just doesn't seem professional. Would be a useful feature to not only be able to print a cert but also save as a PDF as most applications have that capability.
