Responsibilities

• Lead meetings, identify and define root cause (analysis) and determine corrective actions for internal and external quality problems.
• Analyze and validate the quality of products made from internal and external manufacturing processes
• Work with suppliers to develop and monitor new product quality, address quality-related issues, and cascade customer-specific requirements to each tier of the supply base.
• Conduct audits and evaluate and approve supplier PPAP using automotive core tools (i.e., APQP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC)
• Develop standards related to manufacturing processes
• Provide information for quarterly supplier scorecards
• Work closely with NTN Sales and Applications Engineering Staff for all new and current product and process changes

Requirements

• Bachelor or Associate degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Three years of supplier or quality manufacturing experience in the automotive or similar industry
• Experience in automotive quality core tools – APQP, PPAP (Level III), FMEA, MSA, and SPC.
• Microsoft Office
• Experience with Minitab or similar statistical software is a plus.
• Experience with drafting software (i.e., MicroCADAM, Solidworks, etc.) is a plus.

Preferred Requirements

• IATF Certified Auditor
• VDA Certified Auditor
• JDEdward'ss inventory control

Competencies

• Strong follow-up skills to make sure related activities are on time.
• Understand and support company supplier quality objectives and the manufacturing process.
• In-depth knowledge of how supplier part quality can impact internal processes
• Read and understand technical drawings.
• Ability to speak English fluently.
