Horse fritters, has anyone taken the time to factor in the emissions and potential environmental impact of the infrastructure to support EV's in large masses nationwide?
Or the potential environmental impact for the acquisition of the raw materials necessary to support the manufacture of large masses efficient EV's on a national scale? (Can we talk the mining of lithium and other necessary nicities for batteries, lighter weight vehicles and such?)
How about the generation of the electricty itself to charge and recharge EV's in large masses on a national scale?
Each and every one of those things will generate untold GHG emissions (primarily CO2 of course which is the least harmful but is generated in the greatest quantity and therefore having the largest warming effect).
Hey let's not even be concerned with the end of life management of those EV's, their power sources and the potential environmental impact of all that krap.
There's more to this than nice strong long lasting batteries
