Procedure Training

Hi

If a controlled procedure has been updated, are there any particular types of changes that does not warrant re-training everyone on that procedure i.e. template change, correcting a typing error etc ?

Those changes don’t require retraining. Ask yourself a simple question: does this change affect how the work is done or what work is done? If there is no affect, then no retraining is required. A more snarky - yet effective - question is: retrain them on what?

There will be some changes that should lead to notification; examples are if you change the layout, placement or structure that might make finding important references a bit difficult or confusing until the users get used to the new format. An example is that you might move information from a paragraph format to a table to make things clearer. But notification isn’t training - it’s letting them know that things have moved or may look different.

Please note that you still need to review and approve the changes by at least one independent reviewer as you will need to avoid inadvertent mistakes…
