One for all the UK/European Quality Colleagues on here.

Have noted that CAA/EASA Regulatory Compliance Monitoring forum section is not as widely used or contributed to.

For those of you on here that have found the section and this post can I ask the Who, What, Where and How that YOUR organizations complete Compliance Monitoring (Internal Auditing) of your against the Regulations, such as Part 145 (EU)1321/2014 and Part 21 (EU) 748/2012?

I've worked in a few Aerospace organizations that hold EASA/CAA Regulatory approvals - When going over the Audit reports (Checklists :censored: ) or actually conducting them myself, I've come across So many that have been ineffective.

Got me thinking, is there a real opportunity or need within the industry to provide Competent Compliance Monitoring of the Regulations?

How do you all provide these services?

The regs make reference to these skills;
"The ‘quality audit engineer’ should have similar qualifications and status to the ‘maintenance engineer’ for reasons of credibility, unless he/she has a proven track-record in aircraft quality assurance, in which case some reduction in the extent of maintenance qualifications may be permitted."

"145.A.65(c) - The organisation shall establish a quality system that includes the following: 1. Independent audits in order to monitor compliance with required aircraft/aircraft component standards and adequacy of the procedures to ensure that such procedures invoke good maintenance practices and airworthy aircraft/aircraft components. In the smallest organisations the independent audit part of the quality system may be contracted to another organisation approved under this Part or a person with appropriate technical knowledge and proven satisfactory audit experience"
