Naming of newly merged department

Need some help renaming department after merging with another department. Existing name is Global Microbiology Sterilization. Validation department is merging with Global Microbiology Sterilization and we want the name to represent this change.

What we do?
- Adoption, validation and sterilization of medical devices.
- Issue protocols
- setup and execute testing of devices and cleanrooms
- audits of cleanrooms.
- EUMDR
- Yes we are truly global.

Not trying to be coy or anything, but "Global Microbiology Sterilization and Validation" comes immediately to mind...

Here’s what another global org has done:

Unless there are local departments from which you must differentiate yourself (in which case the structure would have been pre-dictated) keep it succinct: Sterility Assurance. SA abbreviates nicer than GMSaV or SVMTS. Also saves space on your business cards. Note your span of responsibility in the description of your job. Title inflation is a real thing, but so as long as any recruiters can find you / find matching personnel at different companies, simple beats fancy.
Then: good luck with the updates of all documentation and remember to refresh your evidence of competence and authorities/responsibilities relative to the re-engineered processes. It's not an afternoon job and you can bet a scan of the personnel files for this.

The services goes beyond the simple sterilization and validation and extends to facility, EU MDR etc. ... so my suggestion is "Global Microbiology Services"
