Per CFR111.70, I am looking to document and implement a means of preventing contamination in our components prior to filling.
We currently stage our components outside of manufacturing. I am thinking of buying some plastic totes and then having our tubes dropped into the totes covered and then closed. Otherwise, I would have to have an SOP for cleaning/sterilizing the components prior to production entry.
Do you all have better suggestions that would allow me to stage components(tubes) without having to clean them before production? The components are approved and have gone through our AQL quality process prior to this step.
These are cosmetic tubes and not "food/dietary" but i manage both in one area and want to have the same controls for both.
