Please Help - What Caliper Calibration Range is Acceptable for 1mm Measurements?

Most calibration procedures that I have seen recommend performing the calibration at 3 - 5 locations throughout the working range of the caliper. Some leave it open as to where those points are located, but some do specify that 3 locations should be spaced at the minimum, midrange and maximum of the range. For 5 locations, the additional two should be at 25% and 75% of the range. Doing this and using the results in a Linearity study should address your concerns.
Thank you. That's about what I was thinking - that you should start at the minimum. I don't know if there are any metrology, mathematical, statistical references or manufacturing industry standards to turn to, so if anyone else has any knowledge on this, it would help greatly!
