Man, what blast from the past.

@jksdmx - I just downloaded the file and was able to run it without any issues. I tried it on a windows 7 machine and again on a different Win10 machine. No issues on either.

Since I created this file years ago I've change employers and inherited an existing calibration system, so I've abandoned this old excel system. My current system is paper based (boo!), but the company has provided the resources (people) to make it work so I've left well enough alone. I'm always on the lookout for calibration software but never find anything that has the functionality that I'm looking for and is affordable.

Marc,

Sorry to bother but I downloaded the file and every time I click on button for edit content it kicks me out of excel and restarts... any ideas?

I can't help you with the file. Among other things I use a Mac and Excel on a Mac is not the same as on Windows. I do have several PCs but I only have an old version of Office on one so I can't reliably go in and troubleshoot a spreadsheet someone else has made.

I noticed the person who made the spreadsheet is still stopping by. Maybe if you ask him very nicely he may help.

I did notice it has been downloaded over 3810 times so it's a popular file. If the poster had a dollar for each download he'd have a bit of change in his pocket. I wish I had a way for people to "tip" a person who uploads a useful file like this one. If the poster wants to set up a "tip jar" using a link it is OK by me.

Maybe you're a better business man then me Marc, but I'll stick with the good karma. :)

I've taken way more from the Cove then I'm able to give back. So much good information is shared here. I'm just glad to contribute.

If I was a businessman I would have "monetized" Elsmar when I started it as QS9000.com years ago, or sold it a few years back when Elsmar was "hot" and was offered about US$800K for it... I got many emails asking why I didn't monetize the site suggesting I do so. The site was totally free of advertisements from Jan 1996 until Jan 2004, too. It just got too expensive and took too much of my time not to start taking advertisements to offset the costs.

Karma works for me. I am considering a fund drive, though. Advertising income has dropped significantly from what it was a few years ago. I did try donations for a number of years but it was very rare that anyone donated anything so I finally took it down. This is stuff I have to coordinate with John P who technically owns Elsmar these days because of the lawsuit mediation settlement agreement.

I'm surprised how nice this is! The only issue I have it that it has a link to an ODBC database that is directed on another server. So it keeps wanting to connect to the database file on some unknown server. Doesn't seem that I'd be able to use this database/spreadsheet.
