Folks, I know there are a lot of examples of process maps posted as attachments here in different threads. For those of you who have an opinion and know how to get and paste a post link, I'd like to 'litter' this thread with links to the format(s) you are most impressed with. Or you can attach an example of what you consider to be 'The Best of the Best'.

One I saw in a thread here somewhere had the center as a basic flow chart with Responsibilities, Inputs, and Outputs on the side (which, of course, now that I'm looking for it I can't find...). I have seen this done in Excel, but... Excel isn't my ideal. I have even thought of a using a database where each line is a 'step'.

I am also looking for anyone who uses SmartDraw to do process maps.
Dear Sir
The best practical method for starting process map are:
1- Porter Model
2- APQC Process Classification Framework
3- Value Chain Model of Solution Composer Software

Suggestion: Divided all process in 3 major categories
Managerial process such as Management review and strategic management/planning or goals setting
Main Process is related to your main SOW
and finally Supporting process such as HSE, QA, HR, ICT, ...

The best software is visual paradigm and
general suggested software is visio , Igraft and ....

If anyone has an editable version of the one I have attached or similar but for AS9100D/ISO 9001:2015, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

If you have Visio, the document that you attached is editable already.

Thanks for checking. I might have a copy of SmartDraw, will it open it?

Edit: I installed SmartDraw and I get an error trying to open it saying "The SmartDraw server could not be contacted, or the file could not be uploaded to the server".
