You could probably create one yourself - get some software from FreePHP install on a local server and customise - historically I used Joomla as our Intranet CRM with a doc management system (free add on).

I used Docman in the past - but have not used it for a while - try this link
https://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/directory-a-documentation/downloads
:)

Lots to choose from - I would also post something in the Joomla forum - somebody will advise the best one for you. I would personally download all the free versions - add a couple of docs and beta test this part of the site on a few people (outside of your section for usability)

DevProject - can be used for Document management

Just found this portable freeware.

Excerpt from website:

"DevProject Manager is a portable rich featured project management application for Freeware, Shareware and Open-Source developers.

DevProject Manager allows you to manage general project information, version information, a to-do list and the change-logs for each project. For each project user defined files can be added, such as screenshots, help files and other important files, that can be opened for DevProject Manager. Person information for translators, other programmers, graphic artists and other involved persons can be added. Additionally a customer and license management is included and can be extended with own plug-ins."

The nice thing is that it can be used for document management...

Do not be discouraged by the screenshots....you can change the language.

The Quality Gurus website is quite goog for basic history and overview, not a lot of detail, but some good simple training etc. I would link but as post number 1 forum rules prevent it!
