No, I think there is some misunderstanding from my initial post. It's not something that would happen every single week. It's just a dedicated day so when training does need to occur, it would take place during that day/time slots.
It sounds like the problem is tracking the training required, which is what I think you should tackle first before implementing any sort of weekly couple hour training.
As @FRA 2 FDA mentions, utilising a "Training Matrix" & identifying key training needs would also help you better plan & deliver training, you may find that 2 hours is overkill.
Even then, I'd imagine it'd take some time post training to actually observe & verify that the competencies trained upon are implemented/actioned well.
