This continues to be a pathetic attempt (as expected). According to their own numbers, there are approximately 890,000 certificates listed in the database and over 1,300 certification bodies, what would average around 670 certificates per CB. Anyone who knows anything about this business knows that the largest CB's have tens of thousands of certified clients. That means that the overwhelming majority of the relevant CB's continue to refuse to participate in this database. And the IAF makes it powerlessness public. Embarrassing.

Well I know of 2 certificates that a CB doesn't report anymore, I'm working on the transfers today. IAF CertSearch Database - Repository of "properly" Accredited Management System Certs

And, now, we have the IAF MD 28 IAF Mandatory Document for the Upload and Maintenance of Data on IAF Database .

How do they plan to enforce it though, beyond the stuff in Section 7? Section 5 lists a ton of "Exclusions" for AB's and CB's and nothing in section 4 requires any super secret information.

News today (from LinkedIn) that the IAF is making participation in their database MANDATORY. I predict some fierce resistance from many CB's. Time will tell if they will be able to succeed where others have failed.

It will be interesting to see how the IAF will cascade the mandate to the Accreditation Bodies, who, in their turn will have to flow the hammer down onto the Certification Bodies. Enforcement and monitoring will be a pain in the derriere.....
18 months later and, as far as I can tell, most of the global CB’s are not reporting the data in to this database. Anyone out there with current knowledge of what is going on?

It appears that at least one big AB and one big CB have started participating. Since the post from May 2023, there has been an increase of 2 ABs, 244 CBs, and 374947 certifications. This increase averages out to 122 CBs per new AB (compared to 18 before), 187474 certifications per new AB (compared to 12189 before), and 1537 certifications per new CB (compared to 671 before).

The IAF MD 28 document has a “validity date” of later in 2024. Maybe the enforcement of mandate will only happen after that. We will have to wait and see.
