Early on, energy asked me 'What's the rush?'. I figured that in a business week you folks could hash this all out amongst yourselves. I didn't want an over night wonder. I wanted people to read and think. That's where the week came from and why I have not participated. I will say I am impressed and it has provided me some time to think about options.
It was nice to see that we could form some loose agreement on guidelines, taking into consideration our own personal definitions of some terms.

With respect to name calling: I don't quite think I'm one of the 'biggest offenders' unless you're speaking of the political threads. We all knew that was a free for all and I even put in the comment under the forum name in the main listing advising those easily offended to keep out.
Even with the guidelines/rules for the Coffee Break forum, would it be worthwhile to consider repeating that comment in the main listing? Hopefully, there will be no offensive material, but if people do not enjoy blonde jokes (I have own personal theory in this area, but I digress) or redneck humour, they should be reminded that entering the CB area is optional (i.e., their choice to make).

However, after this thread, it shouldn't be necessary to delete or edit posts! We know the rules, don't we?
Knowing the rules is just the first part. Now comes the fun part of assessing our ability to abide by them.

Being from Kentucky, 'hillbilly' jokes are OUT! No... just kidding...
Darn! And I was just about to share with you my entertaining anecdote from my visit to Ghent, Kentucky!
All in all, a very lengthy, but informative, post, Marc. Thank you. I do believe that you've shed some light on the inner-workings of the Cove and reminded us of why we're here.
