I would also like to ensure a Team Feasibility has been completed, so.....

  • Is the light bulb adequately defined (application requirements, etc.) to enable feasibility evaluation?
  • Can the Bulbs Engineering Performance Specifications be met as written?
  • Can light bulb be fitted to tolerances specified on drawing?
  • Can light bulb be fitted with Cpk=s that meet requirements?
  • Is there adequate capacity to fit the bulb?
  • Does the design of the light fitting allow the use of efficient material handling techniques?
  • Can the light bulb be fitted without using any prohibited substances? (See EC Directive 2000/53/EC)

  • Can the light bulb be fitted without incurring any unusual:

     Costs for capital equipment?

     Costs for tooling?

     Alternative manufacturing methods?

  • Is statistical process control required on fitting this bulb?
  • Is statistical process control presently used on similar everyday appliance component replacement processes?
  • Where statistical process control is used on similar everyday appliance component replacement processes:

 Are the processes in control and stable?

     Are the Cpk=s greater than 1.33?
Everyone needs to review this and sign it off, so please do so :lmao:

How about this variation...

How many cable channels does it take to change a light bulb?

2: First get CNN to remove the old bulb by spinning it to the left, then get Fox News to install the new bulb by spinning it to the right.

I liked all of the responses for far.

You forgot about the reliability engineers needed to check if the light bulb that burned out met the required MTBF, and to do a Weibull analysis to see if the requirements needed to be changed, based on a cost-benefit analysis.

Don't forget the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) for the project. At the ASQ Annual Quality Conference in Chicago a few years ago, as exhibitors, we were not allowed to plug in our own lights, computers and extension cords, without hiring a union electrical worker for a minimum of one hour.

Or, 5 people. 1 to hold the new light bulb and 4 to rotate the ladder.

Or, 1 faith healer to touch the light bulb and have it mend itself.

OK, they aren't as good as the prior ones, but I just had to jump in.

Let's not forget Configuration Management in this light bulb change.
Has the change been properly documented?
Do you need a new part number for the light fixture assembly due the the bulb change?
Does the building revision need to change due to the change in the light bulb?
Has a light bulb change impact study been preformed?
Have light bulb change implementation plans been generated?
Has the ECO for the light bulb change been approved by the CCB prior to implementation of the change?

Go 14001 GREEN - install a skylight!

I'll take it to the next level, because it is election season:

HOW MANY POLITICIANS DOES IT TAKE TO CHANGE IN A LIGHT BULB?

ANSWER: 3

1 TO DECLARE A STATE OF EMERGENCY (AND BLAME FEMA).
1 TO APPOINT A COMMISSION TO STUDY IT.
1 TO INTRODUCE A BILL TO VOTE ON FUNDING FOR THE PROJECT.

AND ALL 3 TO PUT SOME SPIN ON IT!

AND THE ENTIRE MINORITY PARTY TO BLAME IT ON THE POLICIES OF THE ADMINISTRATION.

BTW - One thing we've all fogotten to ask...

Is this a 60W, 100W or flourescent bulb?:bonk: I've tried putting flourescent bulbs in those darned incandescent fixtures - It just doesn't work!!

{This has been an interesting discussion. This has to be the most facetious group I've ever considered myself associated with! :lol: }

Has anyone thought the light bulb could have been an actual person who was burnt out mentally and needed replacement figuratively speaking? :notme:
