I've found out through the years that many of the people with that title have less experience in the actual subject matters than ducks have with fornication.
All this CC stuff and the emotional impact of it seems to lack the acceptance of "scientific" data that shows the normal cyclic history of climate itself. On our planet we've gone from hot to cold to hot to cold more than once (as detailed in deep Antarctic and Artic ice. Right now we're in a warning to hot cycle from what we call the Ice Age to whatever the next step is and yep human civilization and industrialization has contributed to the cycle being bumped or burped a bit.
We've got to ask ourselves, what caused the increase in global temperature from the Middle Ages to let's say the 1600's-1700's? Over industrialization? Not even, but temps did get warmer. But the increase was it global or localized? Is it hotter in Africa, Asia or the Sub-Continent now than 500-600-700 years ago?
Now looking into Earth's geologic/magnetic history and projecting forward, we can see that the shifts in the magnetic poles can alter Earth relative to the Sun, causing climate change by changing the degree of solar radiation that strikes the Earth. (Magnetic field shift effecting the magnetoshpere). Could this be happening now? The magnetic poles have moved about 600 miles in the last couple hundred yeas. Of course there are those who say "conspiracy", but who's to say right or wrong over something that can occur over hundreds of thousands or years and then change back?
I don't know!
The subject of shifting poles is interesting and bears further thought, but I would also like to recall here that in the 1970s Exxon predicted their products would have the very effects we're seeing now.
The cyclic cooling and warming is not in dispute, rather the very sharp trajectories introduced by industrialization. I have read that historic cooling happened after huge volcanic eruptions sent ash into the air and obscured sunlight. That incident was sudden so it seems easy to accept. I suspect we're in the frog-in-hot-water effect of being in the middle of it for so long that we're normalized because we haven't perished yet.

Can’t people understand we are not debating (anthropogenic induced or otherwise) climate change here? We are talking about ISO’s decision to mandate it’s inclusion in a large number of MS standards.

We're discussing the ignorance of the subject at hand and side issues involved causing the whole mess.
How about we start discussing the consultants involved in the mess and the potential for financial growth for them and CB's in general (especially the ones that bill for CAR review & closure outside of scheduled audits....Not doing 4.1 could be considered by some as a MAJOR couldn't it, and require an onsite visit (extra billing day)?

Agreed, if we look back at the original reason for the ISO - The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was established to develop and publish international standards. (to bring all involved onto an "EQUAL" playing field). Now it seems there is a politicization of standards taking place and a push into influencing global economies.

It'll be tied to the goat rope that everything is becoming and the Amendment is required to be implemented now.
The controversy diverse views are certain to present shall issues for organizations and auditors alike. I will be attending to this subject with great interest in this year's annual auditor training, where it will surely be brought up. The implementation dilemma makes the subject discussion and systems discussion almost impossible to separate here.
