leftoverture, I hear you. Have you asked your customer about options for your proving sustainability without this expensive subscription service?

Otherwise, I suppose you could build the cost into the price of your product. It seems only fair. You could pose that option to them along with some means to show your sustainability or else they could spend $$$$ to find and qualify another supplier. This works both ways.

In the EU I would think that these "mandatory paid customer audits" would be considered as "unfair business practices" and outlawed.

Take a step back, the main objective of ISO9001 (formerly BS5750) when it was introduced was that as a supplier, you were subjected to one set of totally independent audits every year (and that was it, as far as quality audits go) rather than having to host numerous audits from every customer and potential customer. Something has gone badly wrong when not only do you have the time/cost implications of the independent audits but also continuing customer audits, especially when customers start charging you for the "privilege" of going business with them

I've audited its use a few times and it's like any other program for data management /solution development, you get out of it equal to what you put in (GIGO). Organizations either use Ecovadis for real help with real solutions or as a smoke & mirror, fluff building process. It does present real possibilities for the user, but the user has to want to follow the process.

We have two customers who require it, so yes, we are subscribed.
My management has requested us to put on hold because the customer is currently in the process of requisition by another party.

Furthermore:
1. The remainder of our customers will be conducting supplier evaluations using a checklist and file sharing, and this service will be provided free of charge.

2. Many of the questions in the evaluation are not applicable to us. This is because our company doesn't engage in manufacturing, and to the best of my knowledge, there are no local legal requirements for distributor companies to adhere to most of the evaluated standards and quality management systems mentioned in the Qs.

3. Considering that the cost ranges from being free of charge to several thousand per year (converted to RM) to achieve the same results as described in point No. 1, it's essential for us to carefully assess this.

While this may prove beneficial in the long run and can be shared with others, it's important to note that in most cases, our situation aligns with what's described in point No. 1. Additionally, some customers already have their own platforms in place, which are also offered free of charge.

Hi Anyone can advise on how to contact this Ecovadis customer service.

We have been invoiced upon submission, and my management decided its not our cost to pay. Moreover, there is no assessment report generated until payment is made, looking at the system.

In accordance with the EcoVadis Terms & Conditions, payment is due upon receipt of your invoice, and your payment is seventy (70) days past due. As a result, your invoice will be sent to an external debt collection agency within the next ten (10) days and may incur additional fees. There will be no further reminders.

If payment for this invoice has already been made, please contact us as soon as possible. Please include your payment details so that we can ensure your payment is registered.

The contact us really not helping at all. Where can i find the contact for their customer service.
Involving debt collection agency when we not even having our product delivered yet.

Thanks!

Who exactly does your management think is going to pay? If you subscribe you have to pay. Simple as that. You can pass the cost on to your customers through price increases, but it is you company's responsibility to pay the annual subscription cost. So your management is wrong here.

Well.. there is this clause in the T&C

10.1. Use of the Solution by the Rated company is conditioned by the payment of all applicable fees, including a

non-refundable, annual or multi-year subscription fee dependent on the plan that the Rated company has selected,

as detailed on fees.ecovadis.com. During the initial twelve (12) months the fee will be paid by a Requesting company

in place of Rated company only if such obligation derives from the agreement between EcoVadis and Requesting

Company.

That is why we wondering why its not bill to the requestor. By the way, I`m connecting to the Sales person, so should be able to get clarification on this.
