Statutory and regulatory requirement examples in metal fabrication

Statutory and government regulations that, in my opinion, aren't directly tied to the product may include things like:
  • Utilization of small business concerns
  • Equal opportunity
  • Equal opportunity for special disabled Veterans, Verterans of the Vietnam era, and other eligible Veterans
  • Affirmative action for workers with disabilities
The question to ask would be how would these be related to product conformance and customer satisfaction?

There might be some type of contract language but as a "customer" I don't care if my stuff is made by a Vietnam Veteran or not (and I'm a Vietnam Veteran that's been wounded.....I'm also medically retired therefore disabled to some).

Some that come to mind I've dealt with: REACH, RoHas, Conflict Minerals, Prop 65, USMCA, OSHA, DOT. Your customer supplier manual or requirements is a good place to start, usually they are on the website.
