4th edition PPAP

It has been published; it becomes effective June 1; Chrysler has already published their Customer Specific Instructions relating to it; and it is even more vague and subjective than the 3rd edition.

Jay,

The 4th edition of PPAP is out. It becomes effective June 1st. The transition period is Mar 1 - June 1. You can view all of the information presented at the Overview if you are a member of AIAG. It is listed on their web for member's only or if you attended the conference. I'm still waiting for them to post the differences between 3 and 4.

I have visited the AIAG site but cannot find the overview in the member's only section. Can you give further directions?

As I stated in the previous posting these are the 4th edition PPAP electronic documents that I have been working on. Feel free to use if needed. I also have a complete 4th Edition Electronic Format with all 18 sections of the 4th Edtion PPAP manual but the file is to large to upload to the forum.
:thanks: Thanks Jeff :applause:

AIAG News link says:
"PPAP Rollout Presentations Available Online to Attendees ....more info ".
Just having a sign-on to the member's only section is not enough.

The changes I linked above are the AIAG changes. These are from the PPAP 4th edition AIAG class I had to take because the rollouts were filled to capacity. They are not under a copyright so I felt free to post.

As far as I see there are no real changes. The situations to resubmit are clearer and the forms changed.
The only really meaningful change IMO is that there is now some reference to one sides specifications.

Howard, you're right - not many real changes. They removed the customer specifics and laid it out more in a process flow. IMHO, not a big deal.
